Being able to perform a good manicure and pedicure is vital for every therapist. It is also a useful skill for anyone interested in maintaining their hands and feet in optimum condition.

This course will teach you the art of manicure and pedicure, and how to recognise disorders of the nails, hands and feet. Our comprehensive course will also teach you how to give a wonderfully relaxing hand, arm, foot and leg massage.

The course also covers cuticle work and will teach you the skill of working with cuticle nippers and a cuticle knife. Techniques to ensure perfect application of varnish will be covered. You will also be taught how to buff the nails, for clients who prefer a natural look. The pricing and marketing of the treatments will also be discussed.

A first class manicure or pedicure, with proper cuticle work, relaxing massage and expert polishing will have your clients returning again and again.

Nail Art for natural & extended nails
Diploma Course

Nail art is a wonderful way for you both you and your client to express their individuality and is both creative and fun.

This is an ideal course for Manicure and Pedicure therapists as well as Nail Technicians as nail art can be applied to natural nails as well as to extensions. It is ideal for all therapists who work with nails and who wish to add more variety and extend the service they can offer to clients.

The course covers the relevant anatomy and physiology to recap on therapists’ knowledge but the majority of the course is spent on practical work.

The course looks at a wide variety of nail art and gives step by step guidance on creating a variety of finishes. The course covers the application of decals (transfers) plus various other polish secure items – including rhinestones, foil, glitter, bullion, strands and metallic shapes, etc. The application of paint effects such as dots, swirls, etc is also covered. There is also an opportunity for freehand painting.

Students are also encouraged to use their own imaginations to create designs unique to themselves.

Students work on nail forms during the course rather than on each other or models. This means that students can take their creations home with them and start up a reference portfolio for future work with clients.

This course is an essential requirement for therapists wishing to set up in business as a professional Nail Technician.
